Task 2 Team: Support small and medium-sized enterprises in Sustainability

Task 2 team of this project supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan in Sustainability through industry-university collaboration.

 Unleash the SMEs from the situation that not being formal composition of international institution or ESG standards and having less resources available for Sustainability.

 Encourage SMEs to engage themselves in sustainability and put sustainability in priority.

1. From View of Internal ESG Management in Organization

Task 2 team supports SMEs

(1) to develop sustainable business strategies based on their core competencies and opportunities in their industry;

(2) to implement sustainable activities through cost and benefit analysis

Therefore, SMEs can

(1) accumulate critical sustainability information for their internal management, and

(2) enhance their business value of corporate.

2. From View of International ESG Disclosure Standards

Task 2 team supports SMEs

(1) to understand applicable standards and

(2) to implement ESG road map, to clarified the direction of ESG disclosure and ESG certification;

Therefore, SMEs can

(1) adapt smoothly to the changing global business environment, and

(2) upgrade their competitiveness in involving sustainable practices.

Furthermore, the above information provides the government a fundamental reference while establishing future policies of subsidizing or awarding SMEs in Sustainability.
