| Responsibility | The purpose of our team is to evaluate the climate-related financial disclosures of the banking and insurance sector. The evaluation is expected to motivate the financial sector to emphasize more on climate-related financial disclosures. The real sector is therefore driven to face up to the issue on climate change, thus reducing climate litigation. Moreover, the public and investors will also gain a clearer picture about how the financial sector performs in terms of climate change endeavor, there reducing the informational asymmetry. Collectively, these efforts are instrumental in achieving the net-zero goal of our nation by 2050. We also believe that we can wake up people’s climate consciousness and enforce the financial sector’s climate accountability. The best practices will be publicized and peer effects will arise. In addition, the climate data that we obtain can be used in climate research. The research outcome is expected to facilitate and benefit the industry’s strategy making and government’s policy formulation. |
