Event Time: 14:00-17:00
Event Location: 646 room, 6F, Center for Public and Business Administration Education(NCCU CPBAE)
Event Objective:
The Financial Stability Board released climate-related financial disclosure recommendations in 2017 and 2021, with the Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission also issuing related guidelines by the end of 2021. These guidelines mandate that domestic banks and insurance companies disclose climate-related financial information annually, by the end of June, starting from 2023. The Enterprise Sustainability Management Research Center of National Chengchi University aims to encourage banks and insurance companies to place a greater emphasis on climate-related financial disclosures and promote active engagement with climate change issues by mainstream industries. This endeavor is intended to assist the nation in achieving its 2050 net-zero emissions target. As part of this effort, the Center is organizing the evaluation of domestic banks and insurance companies' Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reports.
This event aims to announce the Center's initiative to conduct TCFD report evaluations for domestic banks and insurance companies, provide an overview of the evaluation process, the current state of TCFD reports, and how to enhance the report content.
